Outsiders Spirit Day Brings Literature to Life
On February 20 Grade 7 students celebrated their study of "The Outsiders" by S. E. Hinton with an Outsiders Spirit Day. After exploring themes of identity, loyalty, and belonging through the eyes of Ponyboy Curtis, students dressed as Greasers, Socs, and in gold to honor the novel’s enduring message and quote “Stay Gold.”
During D period, classes enjoyed chocolate cake for breakfast, just like the Curtis brothers in the story. It was a joyful and memorable way to celebrate this long-standing Thaden Middle School tradition.
