We will enroll 16 children in Kindergarten and 16 children in Grade 1.

• Kindergarten applicants must be 5 years old by Aug 1, 2024.
• Grade 1 applicants should currently be enrolled in Kindergarten and will be expected to successfully complete Kindergarten before entering Grade 1 at Thaden School.

There will be one classroom teacher and one assistant in each classroom of 16 students in Kindergarten and Grade 1. Additional faculty will teach outdoor science education, arts, and language classes.

Tuition for Kindergarten and Grade 1 for the 2024-25 Academic Year is $23,000 and includes transportation, meals (breakfast, lunch, and snack), field trips, educational technology, books, and other academic supplies.

Yes. Indexed Tuition will be available through an application process that evaluates a family’s total gross income and ability to afford tuition. The Admissions Office will send each interested family a FAST application link and voucher. The Indexed Tuition application will collect financial information that will be reviewed by the Indexed Tuition Committee. For more FAQs regarding Indexed Tuition visit our Afford page.

Yes, until 5:30 pm, for an additional fee. 

The online application will be available on Monday, January 15, and due by Monday, January 29.  Offers of admission, including indexed tuition determinations, will be announced by April. Due to the limited number of available spots, families will be expected to respond within 72 hours.

With limited seats, we will not be able to offer admission to all qualified applicants. We will undertake a holistic review process that includes an internal assessment of a child’s readiness to engage in Thaden’s Lower School programs. In keeping with our mission, we aspire to create a dynamic and diverse community of students.

Thaden uses a wait pool instead of a waitlist to achieve balanced classes. Children will be selected from the wait pool when a seat is available.

Lower school students in the 2024-25 academic year will learn in dedicated, self-contained classrooms and age-appropriate spaces on the current Thaden campus. Lower school students will have their own playground and outdoor education spaces as well.

We have been accepted into the EFA program for the 2024-25 Academic Year so that eligible Thaden families may choose to pursue, on their own accord, a source of tuition assistance that will make a Thaden education more affordable for them.
