Ed Motsinger

Campus Safety Officer

 Motsinger has more than 30 years experience as a law enforcement officer and is a former Captain of the Benton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division. He is a veteran of the United States Army where he served as a Military Police Officer and Military Police Investigator assigned to the Drug Suppression Team. He has served as a Field Training Officer, Detective, Hostage Negotiator, Instructor, Detective Sergeant, Internal Affairs Lieutenant and Captain

In addition to being awarded two medals of commendation and one meritorious service medal, he has been the recipient of the Springdale City Attorney’s Award and the Washington County Prosecutor’s Award. In 2005, Ed was recognized as Officer of the Year for the State of Arkansas District 3 by Governor Mike Beebe.

As the Campus Safety Officer and his primary responsibility is promoting and protecting the safety and security of the Thaden School campus and community. He collaborates with the Director of Facilities and Senior Staff to create and implement applicable security procedures and policies. He also serves as a liaison between Thaden School and local law enforcement agencies.

Ed is passionate about health and fitness and enjoys the beauty of the outdoors.
