About Our Campus
Thaden School is located on a 30-acre campus in downtown Bentonville, walking distance from the town square, the Bentonville Public Library, Brightwater: A Center for the Study of Food, the Momentary, the Amazeum, and a variety of other educational resources.
With the support of the Walton Family Foundation's Design Excellence Program, we worked with a nationally renowned team of architects to design our Middle and Upper School campus to be an enduring and innovative campus that sparks curiosity, inspires creativity, and invites reflection.
As students proceed through the course of the school day, they occupy a variety of architectural and landscape features that create an enduring and enriching sense of place. Many classrooms and work areas open into an adjacent outdoor areas, and a variety of porches, pavilions, and breezeways further extend the open-air feeling of the campus experience. Sustainability is also a tangible and important part of a Thaden education: we weave reclaimed materials and structures into the fabric of the School, beginning with the historic McPhetridge House, and have designed the campus in ways that give students hands- on opportunities to study and minimize their environmental impact.
Thaden's Lower School campus will be located across SE 10th St. and will add an additional 5 acres to our campus. With an abundance of outdoor space the Lower School has programatic outdoor education elements that make it a unique program.
